I am a civil engineer, born in Lithuania. When I moved to Spain, I saw a clear opportunity: wood was not a common choice for architectural exteriors because of its maintenance needs and limited durability. Charred wood offered a compelling solution.
I was fortunate to grow up near some of the early craftspeople who refined the Yakisugi technique over more than a decade. This personal connection put me in a unique position to bring the material to architects seeking sustainable, beautiful and low-maintenance solutions.
What I value most is seeing our clients satisfied and inspired by the result. At Zenwood, we do more than supply high-quality charred wood: we aim to provide exceptional service and help bring each architectural vision to life.
